recently went up from CS to CS2.

also went from PC to Mac

From what I have heard, CS2 & 3 are optimized for Intel-based chips.

Is there a good place to find the upgrade to CS3 (or I guess CS4 if a bargain)

I don't know about CS3, but for CS4, why not just go straight to Adobe.com ?

I placed my order through them, received my student discount, and was running CS4 within the day.

I don't think you will find CS3 in most retail outlets. They are required to have CS4 now.
