p.1 #1 · Pricing...Event photos, etc

Ok. So I know how pricing threads are around here and did my best to search around the web and other photogs to see what pricing should be.

I have been trying to set my price for event print purchases:
http://afeinphoto.com/Services_Prints.html

Bouncing back and forth from what I should set. In any case, I had a request for 15 images (web quality) from a customer. Right now I do a 'digital download' of a 1mb file for 20...about 4x6 printable. There is no way the costumer will pay 300 for the cd of images especially since he just wants them on his comp to have. Thoughts on offering 'web only' images on cd and prices?

Much thanks all.

Well I certainly offer web-size jpeg files, they're a big seller (event photography). So yes, I'd suggest doing it, for about half the price of your 1mb file.

But your "1mb file... about 4x6 printable" I think is way off, in terms of quality. I printed a 56KB file the other day (400x250 px) as a 4x6 print and was stunned at how good it looked. I would double-check your thought process on that one, I'd think most customers could easily print an 8x10 from a 1mb file.

Thanks for the info dave. I'll removed the 1mb file and add your web quality image. Impressive how really low res files can be printed semi decently. scary.

any other voices?
