I'm pretty new to pp and feel I may be overdoing some things or just doing them wrong. I really like this shot and want to do something creative to it. Is this working. I'm tying to get rid of the ugly colored shadow on her hand without much success.
My Simple Suggestion: Remove this image file and re-post another smaller version. This one is too large to see on one screen. Try 800px on the long side.
I try to adhere to the philosophy, 'if it doesn't add the the photo, then it detracts.' That being said, what is the purpose of the guitar in the background? Purely my subjective opinion...
It wasnt intentional, a candid shot, but I didnt crop it out becuase the rest of the background is bad. I'd like to bring the background level down or just replace it but I'm not there yet.
Mike, the shadow came off pretty easily with a little clone brush and some painting on another layer. I would suggest losing the whole desaturated thing and going for straight black and white. I tried it, and with a little adjustment it looks pretty good. Not a knock, but the color here is hard to process, I can't decide if it is color or black and white. I PMed you.
