I photographed this RTH for close to 3 hours today. I watched it twice leave it's perch and go after a Squirrel and then another small bird before finally returning to it's original tree it started out in.
This was after the second attempt to catch a meal and it couldn't catch a break all day. No food, mobbed by Crows and Blue Jays constantly, on of the branches it perched on broke away as it took flight (or shall I say a sudden drop into the abyss ), followed by two photographers and finally a tree that couldn't handle it's weight.
Distant shots and cropped but it was funny watching it try and get a foot hold in this tree.

Nice set, Duane. #4 looks like a tightrope walker
That's the same thing I thought when I uploaded the images and saw #4 (sorry, forgot to number them). Thanks for the reply.

Great tree top dance recital there, Duane I love to watch the young ones that haven't quite figured out all that gravity stuff yet

Thanks Ken. I haven't had much luck photographing a young RTH. This adult is my dream Raptor (besides the BE's I photograph)...it basically ignores us. I wave my hat to get it's attention.
