The Canon G9 takes a lens adapter DC 58H for using the WA lens and Tele.
I have the metal version purchased from the states (along with the grip etc) the G10 now goes wider than the G9 (from 35mm - 28mm) does the adapter cause vigging when just used on the camera without any extra WA or Tele lens? I use my metal version on the camera at all times as an extra support and as a nice deep lens hood.
Also, I can`t see any mention that the G10 will take the WA lens that the G9 took, there is mention of the tele but not the WA.
Also, from anyone using the G10, how does it fair when the files (shot in raw) are up-sized to around 50Mb 8 bit ?

Thanks in advance

Seems like no one has up sized a G10 file Possibly pushing things a bit too far really.
My take on it is that there isn`t much point carrying a light pocket camera for those times when you can`t or don`t want to carry a DSLR because if you happen across a beaut you are not going to be armed to make the best of it and prepare it for image library sales.
Oh well! one day
I read in one fo the threads about the G10 that someone is actually submitting uprezzed G9 files to Alamy without any problem. The G10 should be even better. I personally don't think they would accept anything above ISO 200 but you never know.
I shot these while taking a break from a long drive home from a Memphis business trip last June. The G9 has been a handy camera to have along on these trips. Later the same day I shot some video with it of a wicked supercell further north in Illinois.
I haven't tried submitting anything over 100 ISO. I still prefer to use a dSLR when practical.
If you want to see what someone who REALLY knows what he's doing can do, check out this G9 gallery:

Yeh, some good images their. My wife used my G9 the other day (stills and movie) and has taken a liking to it and tells me to get myself a G10 (which will give her my G9) and I`m tempted.
I`ve got to say that since submitting images to stock libraries (although my technique has tightened up which is a good thing) there are plenty of times when I want to just walk amongst people with a camera tucked away for enjoyment but hold back because I feel that I need to be using the very best at all times. Quite often when we are just out browsing around the shopping centres or similar I`ll maybe drift away for an hour while she delves into clothing etc (boring or what) and to have a small inconspicuous camera in the pocket would be good and more so if (as happens) a decent image appears and it can be used on stock work. Don`t get me wrong, we had decent snow in the east of the uk where I live today and I headed out with the mk3 and grabbed some decent images and this wouldn`t change.I had a look at some of my G9 images today and upsized to 50Mb some of them just about creep into the stock bracket and from the reviews I`ve read the G10 would lower the rope a bit to slightly better IQ.
