Nice images, especially considering the conditions! I'm a few miles (km) north in the Comox Valley, where the swans have just started returning for the season. I'm a fair weather shooter, not as willing to face the foul weather as you!
Ah Tony, I have been watching the weather up there amongst other places and was thinking what could you shoot. Thanks for posting some images of the reality for this time of year. This is how these things look, not the best light for sure. I have been going through some eagle shots from the other day and these are making me feel better. These are well done. Nice work in the rain and low sun. Congrats.
Tony, you have another interesting set! The fifth image of the sea lion in the water is a great shot! I love how you caught that expression on his face!!! Nice work as always!!!

Thanks from Up North. The swans were at Little Qualicum R. Estuary. Strange part is that every time I see them there and they take off, they head north instead of south
I have to go out in foul weather or I would not get many shots during winters around here.

Thanks, Tim, As you know, the PNW requires at lot of high ISO shooting this time of year. Now if only f2.8 lenses were not so expensive, heavy and awkward.

Man you had no light there to work w yet you pulled some nice images out really like those IF shots
Great PP on those high Iso files Tony!
Thanks, Nello. I would have thrown the 1.4x TC on, but could not afford to lose another f-stop.

Thanks, Brenton. They usually just poke their heads up for a few seconds. Seems like most of them have bloodshot (or just red) eyes and yellow teeth.
