I am not too familiar with a goshawk so I am glad to see the wonderful static shots Really neat patterning and more of black and white bird then the warmer colors of other raptors. Stories abound of this bird's single-mindedness when hungry, and it will crash through trees after prey, often bigger than itself. It's only real threat is the great-horned owl. My favorite story is of the farmer's wife who couldn't beat one off her barnyard hen after a goshawk chased it into the house---and then proceeded to pluck and eat it in the middle of the kitchen floor.
