Anybody know if they are transferable? Could I sell it?
Thanks
Yes & No...
but you should include the Canon Service Voucher with whatever it came with the camera body when you sold the body......
it's a part of all the paper work, especially if it's for the Mark III's SM-fix....
I have wondered the same thing. I currently have 4 or 5 of them.
I have been told that they can be used towards any repair...and that the repaired item does not have to be the item that the voucher was connected to when issued. FMers have told me that as well as a Canon service representative.
I have not had to use any vouchers yet, so I can't confirm that it's true. I will be sending a few items in soon...so we'll see.
They have expiration dates on them. So if they were transferable, they could have value to someone else if the current holder did not have a need for them. It would be a shame to see them go to waste.
I have gotten them when registering bodies that are new to me (not necessarily new though). I have never tried registering a lens though...I can't remember if that's possible. Has anyone here registered a lens and received a voucher?
Cheers,
Scott
