I understand the Tamron 18-270 VC has 15x zoom. How does this compare to the Canon 70-300 IS? What is the zoom factor on the 70-300? I'm also looking at the Tamron 28-300 VC. Can anyone help me with some advice?
If a lens has a very long focal lenght,it will be very, very slow AF and will be inaccurate.I own Canon 70-300mm and believe me it is true what the owners say about it:"the hidden L lens".And when you think that it's only 500$+the latest generation of IS you will realize what a great deal IT IS!
Thanks gabimaster, i am leaning toward this lens. I was just curious as to how the Tamron compared having a much wider short end. I guess it only makes sense, the more your focal length varies, the more your IQ will suffer.
