Sounds like you had a memorable trip to Nova Scotia Appears as you have come upon these ducks in a nice setting, I am thinking a little lower angle with more of an intimate look at the first ducks eye would have built more feeling into this shot
I am surprised Nello commented, he normally is looking at the other end of a duck Guess you would have to know Nello better
By the way, I liked your "places' gallery on your website, several remind me of Maine.

Thank you for the tip! I will remember that if I ever end up shooting ducks again. I am glad that you like the places section on my website. Alot of the photos were taken in Nova Scotia, and the rest in Alberta. Those are the only places I have shot landscapes of so far. Definitely looking to travel more though!
