p.1 #1 · Ayer's Falls

A small portion of Ayer's Falls on a very sunny morning recon. This was my first visit. Insights appreciated....mike

Looks like a good place for some lovely detailed shots. Somehow this image appears too busy for me and I find it hard to separate the different elements. I would try to focus more on either a rock or the water. The light is quite harsh, this would be better on a rainy, overcast day.

Ute Thanks for the insights. No doubt about the light! I do intend to return on a softer day.
There are perhaps 8-10 small cascades in this ravine. I am submitting a recrop per your suggestion. I like the glow under the rock and can only hope some of that luminosity will persist on a softer day. mike

Hey Mike,

Ute is right on (as usual).

I definately like the more intimate view with the crop. I think places like that where the water is not overpowering, the wider views really lose the water... So that's where these more intimate views are nice. I look forward to your next trip out there.
