Today I came upon a Chukar, I have never seen this before in the area. I took my photos to a wildlife center in the area. They told me is most likely escaped from a game farm in the area. I spent about 20 minutes with this fellow. I had my birdjam ipod with me and I play the sounds and it called back. Escaped or not it was a real treat to see this species. I took the shots from out the truck window. I tried to get out and it ran away, I went back in the truck and in came out of the brush. True wildlife.
