p.1 #1 · Dallas Oregon autumn

The Willamette Valley is quickly losing its autumn colors.
These three shots were with a new P & S Canon PowerShot SX10 IS.
C & C welcomed.

Charlie,

I like #1 & 2.
In #1, the path/road way is a bit of a distraction as I want to see either more of it or not at all

I like the feel of both, but on my display, seem a bit hot or overexposed.
Thanks for posting.

Hey Charlie,

Good to see you playing some more with your new camera! I like #1 and 2 also, but like Dan said catching that little bit of a road or walkway in the lower right is distracting. I know sometimes it's hard to avoid, but avoid you should...

Very nice fall colors.

Thanks guys for the feedback.
The original shot actually had more of the road in it. I cropped out some at the bottom. Not a good decision, I guess.
About the brightness matter, I'm still trying to get photos on my monitor to look the same as they do on other monitors. More work on that front also.

Hey Charlie,

As to the road, in most cases any amount of road running across the shot like that will not look good. You just have to watch your angles as you shot, and if there is a road, do your best to totally eliminate it, unless that road is running through the shot from top to bottom.
