Is that one tree or two? It looks like two trees hugging. Entwined, as you said! The greens look a little heavy, but I'm a desert dweller so maybe my eye is just not used to seeing so much of it (on fences and tree trunks, etc.). I wonder if the green metal box behind the tree on the right could be cloned out?
I think it should be one. I'm not sure why it looks like this though.. I saturated this photo quite a little so maybe the greens a little heavy.. Ah, I didn't spot that metal box.. I think it's not impossible to clone it out.. Thanks for your comments!
Hmmm, I was kind of thinking a more intimate shot, portrait oriented, shot from lower to the ground to eliminate that asphalt walkway. The right edge of the shot lining up with the right edge of the tree, and the left being out a bit from the left side of the tree, far enough to capture some of the fall leaf covered branches. Shot from about the same angle here, so that the two different trunks are seen.
Jim - Just the trunk with that ring of leaves around it? Yes, I think that would have been a great photograph. I am really quite bad at previsualising any closeups. Will definitely keep your suggestion in mind in the future.
