I kind of like this image although at 800 pixels it loses a lot of the detail that is in the 16.7 Mpx version. What troubles me is the vertically central positioning of the far shoreline. I've considered trimming a little off the bottom (which is blurred anyway) and left but that didn't seem to help much. Do you guys have any comments or advice to offer me on this one ?
Don't know - here's a shot at it but as you mentioned the foreground and tree at right are troublesome. I cropped and tweaked what was left...if you object, I'll pull the image.
For me it is too centred horizontally and vertically. I would go landscape and have the L of the building lead right with the building on left so it flows.
I think the 2nd crop is a good idea but a bit too much off the bottom.
OK so I thought maybe crop off the bottom and top and go for more the medium format proportion. Boosted the saturation a little bit too in the greens. Left the tree in because I don't want to chop off one of the boats.
