I've posted a couple other shots from this shoot over on the Landscape forum, so you might be getting tired of these, but I thought I'd post this one over here. Shot with the good old D300 and 10-20 in Boiler Bay, OR.
the foreground rock just plain looks weird to me, either it is an HDR gone wild or an overuse of fill flash. IMO it should be backed way off , nice choice of shutter speed here tho
Thanks for the feedback, this is a one shot photo, and I didnt use any flash. I did use a couple grads at different heights to make the shot though. I'll take another look.
I am in agreement with John, the rock in the foreground does not look natural. I am sure you used a graduated neutral density filter for the sky but when I do shots like this, I like to underexpose slightly the foreground to make it more natural.
Obviously, that is my opinion. It is a great shot otherwise.
