p.1 #1 · Macro hodge-podge #5

Another complete mix up of recent macro shots.

Brian V.

Chrysanthemum phart

Small ichneumon wasp (on the car as usual)

Tarantula ?- no a small sac spider on the window frame

Chefs special pudding - fungus on laburnum log

Aspiring dewdrops

What happens when you look at too many cross-eye stereograms

Just to prove it

A wire worm about 8mm body length- think this is a rove beetle larva

not mad on the phart. love the ich, the sac spider has an outstanding creepy grey-color cast to the shot Strange leg arrangement on yout larvae. I still don't have the mental ability to view the stereograms...maybe in light of the potential consequences, that is apositive attribute

Thanks Ernie and Amy for the comments

Ernie - the car colour has to be metallic grey/silver

Amy - Those pharts seem to be a love/hate thing
The spider really was that grey colour- somone suggested it may have recently moulted.
I think that larva is actually missing a leg on the nearside - it's not a stacking accident - I only stacked the head and tail sections.

Thanks for the comment Karen

Karen - the original flower is certainly a real flower, as the photograph has been manipulated in PP whether that is real or not is another question.

Excellent set Brian!

The sixth frame is me -I never can see those stereograms. I had an odd eye muscle condition as a kid and had to spend allot of time training the muscles in my eyes to focus on the same spot, so it's kinda tough to get them to relax now...

Thanks for the comments John
Pity about the stereos - they are good fun and have slightly different composition rules to normal shots where often clutter is good as you can spatially separate it.
