There's a wonderful feeling I get when I view this image and it must be as a result of the superb light you captured here. The tones look so natural and compliment the beautiful sequence of elevated layers the hills provide. The sky as we know does not always co-operate however in this image I think it adds nicely to the peaceful mood you
captured.

Thank you very much, Al. I agree with you about the sky, without it the mood wouldn't be quite the same. But more about it below...

Wonderful layering and lines in this image. I agree with the others that suggested cropping a bit off the top--just not too much of interest up there. I also think these tones would lend well to a BW conversion. Just a thought...
Thanks to you too, Adam. As I wrote above, I think the sky is necessary, however it is not the main subject here and can therefore sustain some cropping. Haven't thought of this as a BW, thanks for your suggestion

It's lovely. I like it just the way it is. The sky matches the flow and feel of the landscape.

santiago, that is exquisite, almost looks like a painting. Too bad the sky wasn't a little more interesting but I know how that is, you take what you can get.
Bev, Stan, thank you very much. Yes, you take what you get, it could have been a lot worse

I like the sky in this one, Santiago. The low clouds "contain" the scene very nicely. Love the gentle layers of the foreground and the soft light and colors.

Thanks to you too for your comments, Jouko and Sharon.

Well seen and shot. A bit linear for the Palouse contours, but the wealth of colored diagonals make a fine image.
Mark, Gary, Tim: thanks friends for your comments. Gary, when I was out there taking this image I thought of some of your images of the Palouse, which you posted several years ago . Tim, I agree with you, contours are hard to get as in the original Palouse, but a few km away they have some other, most appealing contours (those of the botlles of Bourgogne blanc)

Wonderful image Santiago! love the composition, textures and rich colors.
Many thanks to you too, Dimitri, Andrew and Lance. The mood that evening certainly felt uplifting, until I noticed a weird smell (my son trying to burn paper hankies with the cigar-lighter inside the car)
