Isn't arabesque mostly all repeating symbols say a group of stars, but the same pattern, like a tile floor design throughout? anyways I like your shot, just trying to usderstand what your saying with it.

correct Norm! actually my pattern is a repeating symbol of flowers but this shot is a macro so you can not fully appreciate the pattern.
