p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Adobe Bridge CS3 cache question

Searching my hard drive looking for opportunities to free up space, I found a relatively large file in my profile (running Vista Ultimate). I'm hoping someone can explain what it is and if I can delete it safely. From the path it appears to be just a cache, so I'm guessing it's safe to delete, but I haven't been very good about backups lately, so I figure I better play it safe just in case....

Here's the full path to the file I'm talking about:
C:\Users\<my username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS3\Cache\data\bridgestore\filesystem_blobs.MYD

You'd be best off asking this at the Adobe photoshop forums sponsored through Adobe's users here:

I wouldn't mess with it until you know for sure.

Bridge and ACR cache are best set on their own partition on a seperate HD rather like the scratch disk. They don't take up huge amounts of space but they do fragment drives rather badly. You can set this in the options in bridge.

I know on a mac if you hold the option key at the start of bridge it will pop a window up asking if you want to clear the cache, I do this before every new job and it seems to run better.
