p.1 #1 · Could a Hasselblad 500 guru help me out?

I know nada about Hasselblad gear, could anyone give me a rough idea of what all of the gear in the below photo is worth? (or at least the main components) It all appears to be brand-new. A friend inherited the kit, but has no idea what he has. Thanks in advance.

As a whole, under $1K. He might get a little more if he breaks it up in pieces.

He could get more than a thousand for that kit. No question in my mind. Mint 2 back setup with 80 and 150, WLF and prism, the bellows shade, and the bayonet shades? That could grab almost 2 grand.

The 500c body(non interchangeable screens), older prism and non T coated lenses mean that the average buyer would likely not pay more than $1K for the kit. Since it appears to be in such mint shape, if a collector was interested, it might sell for more. I suppose there is the question of mechanical condition given that the shutters in the lenses many not have been used or exercised in a very long time. These things would need to be checked out and tested.

Inventory the items, and see what they go for on eBay and at http://www.keh.com

The older Compur shutter lenses may have some value to a collector, but generally speaking, the later Hasselblad/Zeiss lenses that are black with the Prontor shutters have more value to a working pro. The T* coating has improved, and the shutter issues as mentioned.

Will not get 2K for it. I can get this for 1400 at most, anytime, and collectors are not interested in these lenses, although interesting in vintage, there were too many maid to make them of something more than a novelty.

Would be a shame to let this rot in a collection anyway... It makes an excellent kit for anyone diving into medium format. It has all you need - apart from film.
