Very nice Tony,

haven't seen a deer in months.

I guess this winter I'm going to have to hike to some remote spot in order to hopefully get a decent shot of one....

Very nice series - - you must be happy with your new camera

Fantastic shots Tony. #3 is awesome. How do you like the AF performance of the camera?

Nice shots Tony. So how are you liking the 50D. Any chance for a few bif yet? I haven't had a chance to get out in weeks, but did have some deer visit me recently. I may try to post a few later ~ Ron

Thanks, Lil. My wife, who loves deer, was ready to shoot them the other day after some young bucks took their antlers to some of her rhodo bushes.

50D does not seem to bad so far.

Thanks, Rob. I like the similar color of the tall grass and reeds they are in. They were deciding whether to run or just wait and watch.

Thanks, Thang. Don't find the AF as good as the 1DMk2. You can give it an official test when you get yours.

Thanks, Bruce. The setting is a river estuary and I believe there was once a farm there. Guess it got abandoned after they found out how high the tides were. That is why there are still some old fence posts with barbed wire on them.

Thanks, Ron. Not as good as the 1DMk2 for AI Servo. Using 100-400, so you may find it better with your 400 f5.6.
