Thank you, Ben.
It helps to have subjects that lend themselves to my story.

Thanks. I couldn't resist taking it when I noticed the contrast in the two subjects

Just be sure not to blame it on me when you get your credit card bill

I cannot take pictures of random people in the street, I feel uncomfortable doing it...

They won't bite (usually). To be successful at it, you cannot be apprehensive at all or the subjects will sense that (if they are aware you are taking their picture). I just try and glue a large smile on my face and snap away.

Is this lens heavy? I'm thinking about buying it now... I guess I would be fine... I've heard the 24-70 2.8 Nikon was supposed to be heavy, and it doesn't seem to be... although I haven't tried it on the D700 yet.

Compared to the 24-70 the Sigma is light as a feather. Some object to the size of the lens. I prefer them a bit on the chunky side....so I'm a happy camper. Right now the Sigma 50 1.4 is pretty much glued to my D700.

Does this guy look guilty or what ?

No, not heavy at all. It suits the larger camera bodies nicely. And it looks properly proportioned.

Nice image! Guilty as sin. So what did he/she get into?
Yeah mine is pretty much glued to the D700 as well. Especially since I've joined a prime lens challenge for the month of Oktober. So I can only use the Sig 50 and 85/1.4 AIS. It's working out great

A daily occurance....so I have no idea ! I've made a pact with myself to use only primes for the next little while as well. The 24-70 is taking a break. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Using the sames lenses as well. Sig 50 and Nikkor 85/1.4. Both are terrific....
