I just heard about this site. 2 questions please. Is Fred Miranda the marketer of the sixties camera called Miranda? Who actually made it and when was it discontinued. Second question: The word avatar means God in a human body. What does it mean on this site. Thanks.--Sass

Sass...Welcome...I cannot comment on Fred's "camera". The "avatar" for this site is the small graphic posted by the user to lend some "uniqueness" to his name. Mine is the US Army's 1st Cavalry Division patch. You will see many unique avatars here on FM.

Welcome to FM. There's no connection between Fred and the Miranda camera. In the 60s, Fred was just a wee tyke. I believe he's around 40 years old. The Miranda camera was made in Japan but don't know when it was discontinued. Try Googling it.
