p.1 #1 · HDR - Autumn - Tree - Bridge

Went for a stroll in the park to look for some autumn colors to photograph, didn't find much, but I found this tree with autumn colors with a little bridge beside it and a pond full of ducks swimming around.

The second picture is made out of 3 pictures with different exposures and tonemmapped with Redynamix.

Any comments or criticism are welcomed and appreciated.

Thank you for looking.

These actually look pretty good. What was the ev spread on these shots to require the use of HDR to capture the entire range?

The EV spread was -2 0 +2

I used only one image in #1, it's tonemapped but #2 is made out of 3 pictures with different exposures.

i like the first one , but the 2nd one the HDR is kindy heavy handed , the sky is not so good and the halo on the tree is really not too good , back off a bit and see if it isn't better

I like #1 here a lot too, maybe a little tight to the bridge on the bottom, but I find the back lighting very nice on the tree leaves.

Cheers,
David

#1 is really great. I think that, except for the halo, #2 is a good example for an HDR that doesn't look unnatural.

Looks like a great area for an early morning stroll! That tree certainly works well as a focal point. Only small suggestion would be to try a crop from the bottom in the second shot. Really nice!

Hey Snoopy,

Love that first one! What wonderful detail in it. But I agree, #2 is just too much. Especially if you look in the grass, it looks all wonkers!

I love the composition of the first one, Snoopy. The mist and the ducks in the water are great!
