p.1 #1 · remove lens vignetting with an other picture

Is there anyboby that knows how to remove the lens vignetting on the pictures?
I have tried with Photoshop CS3 in the Filter/Distorsion/Lens Correction
but this tool is not enough to remove my lens vignetting.

At this point I have taken a pictures for each lens aperture (lens is Leica R 19mmf2,8;the last before ROM) through an opal glass with the lens pointed
to the north sky. In this way I have a right picture of the vignetting.
I would like to know if there is a way in Photoshop to use these pictures like
a tool/filter to remove the vignetting.
At this address you could find an example:

I have never tried it, but you could apply the lens correction more than one time by using multiple layers if a single layer was not enough.

Another idea, on the image that you have captured of the vignetting ... you could use it to build a mask. Invert the mask. Then use curves on a separate layer with the mask to remove the vignetting.

Yes, use Panorama Tools: http://wiki.panotools.org/Panorama_tools

There is component that allows you to remove vignetting and create a profile for your lense - in fact it may be available from a user.

It is an Open Source software and available free. You will enjoy learning it - it can do tons of stuff and it will keep you out of trouble for at least the winter lol

Thank you, Helmut Dersch!!!

With CS3 you could open the image file in Adobe Camera Raw use the Lens Tab and use the two lens vignetting sliders.
