Hopefully the weather will permit a few more outdoor sessions, but since the rain is keeping me indoors for the meantime, I thought it would be appropriate to share some more scenes I've encountered from August up until a few days ago. All taken on heavy-calorie-burning treks in Washington state. All single exposure images taken with a 40d, sigma 10-20 and grad filters.

Really like the first one. All the comps are really nice with excellent color.

They kind of have a jagged appearance from a little heavy handed USM. I think they could be smoother, which would make them pretty much perfect.

Trevor, what a gorgeous set of images. Wonderful work, had to be a great outing!
1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th & 7th are my faves.
My only nit, and it is a small one

, is the 2nd has the most obvious grad effect, to my eyes, in the trees and strong reddish hue on the peak.
Grand vistas all 'round, regardless!!

Very lovely scenes, nicely done! It's nice seeing these spots as I visited many of them myself earlier this summer. Looks like you had some great trips.

Great series, love it! Love how you are not afraid to push it so the blacks are black.
A lot of flat color correction on the board lately...
I like the flower shot, seems a bit not wide enough though, would like to see it
wider.

The Dakobed image is terrific, as well as the Shuksan view from a different angle than normal. Gorgeous work!

These really are amazing! I want to get out west sometime before I die. Let me ask you, when you go places like this, are there trails you have to stay on or can you go anywhere you want? Here in KY all of the land is owned by someone unless it is a state park or something. Is the land in your photos owned by anyone or is this a park? Can you go anywhere in these pictures? Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm sure things are very different there. Thanks.

Thanks for the great responses!

Kelly, most of the scenes in the northwest that I capture are located within forest and park boundaries and many have a trail leading directly to them or reasonably close if it happens to be one of my off trail adventures.

i love the ones with the perfect reflections -

i.e. #1, #2 and #7. especially #1, i think it is the best of the set. there seems to be some visible vignetting at #2, which somewhat spoils the image.

The clarity of these is exceptional. I like #2 and 3 the most, while others are nice as well, they simply don't match these two IMO. Great light and comps.
