holy color batman. the yellows are only bested by the bright red across the lake. crystal lake next year...

This image is unprocessed as I am posting via a uncalibrated laptop. It is of Crystal Lake with a Red Mountain reflection. I joined another photographer on the bank at 8:50 am and he told me 9:00 am created the best lighting. It lasted about 15 minutes and it was gone. I just made it. Some post work should help the image but it was a very stunning display of color, reflection, and lighting. Jarv

This one was taken before I went digital. It was with Kodachrome 64 from the Alpine Scenic Loop behind Mount Timpanogos. This is near Robert Redford's Sundance Ski Resort in Utah.
Sometimes we get September snows which make a nice backdrop on the peaks for fall foliage. We have already had a snow on the Wasatch peaks and am getting snow above 7,000 feet today. The peaks are over 11,000 feet. I hope to get up to take pictures early next week after the new snow. We are at our peak for color now.
I scanned this and did some cloning in Adobe Elements as old slides have some blemishes and noise.
