p.1 #1 · Email Campaigns - Effectiveness and Service Provider
I am starting to research various email campaign service providers and software.
I want to start sending out a fairly regular (but not obnoxiously spam-like) email update with photos and other graphics to my clients. Quick updates of my latest projects, cool photos, etc. Just to stay in front of them.
How effective do you photographers who use an email campaign find it in generating business / marketing?

Commercial clients, or consumer clients?
Make sure you use a server other than the one you use for your regular e-mail and other than your web server to send the messages to avoid it being blacklisted. You also need to be diligent about managing bounced e-mails and opt-outs.
Constant Contact and Blue Sky Factory are two names in this arena I know. Also, check out http://www.marketingovercoffee.com for more info about direct marketing. Great podcast, comes out weekly.

Greetings to all.
Shooting events always result in the same standard question : "when will the pics be posted". So I As a result I became proactive . I began to compile an e-mail notification list. This way I can notify my clients when their pics are posted along with the link to them.
People were always willing to give me their info. Now I can send out reminders and seasonal promotions myself. I don't think a service would be much help or worth the cost. . Our business is personal so I think doing it yourself will net greater results.
Good shooting.
