BTW, I like mine 40D but 45D could be better...as a backup for my 5D:P

well said. to many GEAR HEADS and not enough photographers. fricken cameras are like computers anymore. its all about light anyway so if you can do it with a 20d or a 50d who the heck cares,, only thing that really matters is whats on print anyway. CLIENTS REALLY DONT CARE if you have a 20d or a 1 ds mark111. GEAR HEADS do,,but not clients.

YOU GUYS THAT ARE OBSESSED WITH THE LATEST AND GREATEST TOYS ARE ONLY DRIVING UP THE PRICES. GET A DECENT CROP AND A FULL FRAME AND GO BE A PHOTOGRAPHER,,,,,,,,NOT A GEAR HEAD

With all the negativity and unprofessional comments in this thread, I am quietly reminded why I visit FM less and less.

This is a Canon gear forum for discussions on Canon compatible gear. Why is everyone criticizing photographers for discussing canon related gear?

IMO we should all be adults and check the attitudes and respect one another on FM.

And you, matey-boy, are on the wrong forum if you expect gear discussions not to be the primary subject matter.

If you don't like it, you can always find somewhere else - and in the meantime, "discussions on Canon compatible gear" (as the forum landing page describes this forum) will be the order of the day, and quite rightly too.

well sorry if i ruffled some feathers,,that wasnt my point. and i love reading and getting information about gear. i think my point is to many people get way to wrapped up in getting the next best camera body when what we have out is so very capable. how many mp's do we really need?? i dont think the histogram has changed much in the past 5 years. what more do you we really have to have??

im sure canon is loving life changing the line up every 18 months,,,im sure not. jeeze, i had my AE1 for 8 years and it still works great today. i know guys that are using the same medium format cameras for the past 15 years.and no,,what ever MATEY-BOY means,,im not in the wrong forum, just trying to add my point of view. i for one will be sticking with my 40d's and 5d.

I'd rather have the worlds sharpest 100-400L though...

Unfortunately, the "world sharpest 100-400" ever ever produced was recently sold (allegedly) to a "lucky" guy on another "lucky" forum (apparantly a white glove delivery). So many of us here have lost a fine-fine opportunity to own-cherish-enjoy this fine piece of yauyi equipment....instead, someone else got it for an extremely excellent price. (retail price + $200). I am at a loss for words...how I missed out on that last chance (open only for the past 8 months) to own the world best...world finest...world's class lens.
