The 1D does not have a 1.6 crop, for example you cant put ef-s lenses on the 1d.

I use a Tokina 28-80 ATX Pro 2.8 on my 1D MkIIN all the time and a friend used the Pro SV version on her 10D so I am sure it will fit a 1D.
