Hey there, neat set - we need more bugs on this site!!! Love the colors in the first one, along with the perfect definition of wing veins and patterning. I like the in-and-out DOF in #3, the comical verticality of #4, and the OOF fly in the BG of #5. What lens was this Glad to see you posting again!!!

I hope you are resting well now Chasing butterflies with a 500 doesn't seem like an easy task, however I am sure enjoying your efforts Some very nice comps and colors, #7 seems so light and delicate, neat shot as well as the vert shot with wings folded tight.
Anyone shooting butterflies on a fall-blooming sedum will appreciate these. Count me one. The first one is a little light on monarch orange, all the others are great, wish I had done so well today. I missed every single monarch I had a shot at - great work, and as Karl said, shooting butterflies with a 500 is not a task for girly-men -
Hi, Gero. Nice to see you posting again. You did a very good job shooting butterflies with the 500 handheld and getting such nice and focused images. 6 and 8 are my favorites.
