Ok, here in Texas High School football on Friday nights is durn near a religious meeting. So what lens would most suggest for High School football? 70-200mm, 300mm, 400mm? I'd be using either my D2X or a borrowed D700.
Depends on where you'll be shooting from and which body you'll be using. If using the D2X you can use the 300, the D700 the 400 if shooting from the end zone. Use a mid-range zoom for sideline shots of the players. You can use the 70-200 for sideline work and you'll probably need to use flash unless the field is extremely well-lit.
