p.1 #1 · #308 Glass from the past

Hemingray insulators used to be a common sight along rail lines and roadways, insulating the signal carrying conductors. Telegraph lines are now a thing of the past.
Thanks for looking.

Very unusual sight these days, Nick, glad you've presented it for us.
Well lit. Showing the contours of glass is tricky!

Made in the U.S.A.? that must be antique! Very cool and unusual piece Nick. Thanks for the history on it as well.

I love the lighting on this object. It looks like an old sci-fi movie set piece.

Great entry,
Chad

Excellent shot, Nick, my friend! I love the way the light seems to glow from within. It does have a certain static "product shot" atmosphere to it, though. Perhaps it it wasn't simply centered. But, I pick the tiniest of nits. Beautiful work!

Fond regards,

Endre
