Strad has asked me to post this for him. I usually don't do things like this. However, he has always contributed so much to the site and the assignments.. so I made this exception. Good luck Strad -- from all of us at FM!

To all my Fred Miranda Colleagues and Friends,
Once again, I will be playing my annual Labor Day weekend concert
in the Bing Theater of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, only this year
it is a week later - on Sunday, September 7th at 6 PM sharp. One week from today! My brilliant colleagues, Genevieve Lee - piano, Kevin Connolly - violin, Steven Gordon - viola, and Dennis Karmazyn - cello and I will play the beautiful one movement C Minor String
Quartetsatz by Schubert and then the extraordinary A Major Piano Quintet by
Dvorak. The concert is free to all who live in the Los Angeles environs but you must be there before 6 to get in since it is being recorded for later broadcast. For all of you who are out
of the Los Angeles area, it will be streamed live over the internet
and can be heard by going to this website right at 6 PM (Pacific Time) on
the 7th: http://www.lacma.org/programs/SundaysLive.aspx At the bottom of the page is a section called "Sundays Live on the radio and streaming audio". By clicking on the "here" word you should immediately be able to hear the concert. For those in Los Angeles, it will also be rebroadcast the following Wednesday at noon over KCSN radio (88.5 FM) . I do hope you can either come in person or listen in on the net or radio as it promises to be a lovely concert.
PS : Here, for those who live in other parts of the world, is a handy time
conversion website so you can figure out the exact time the concert will be
streamlinked. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Thanks for the post Fred! I had a chance to hear Endre (Strad) last year and if you all think his photography is amazing, wait till you hear that bow slide across the strings, It will make you cry!
Best of luck Endre. I will be listening so don't screw up!
Thanks so much, Fred! I really, really appreciate your posting this for me. I do hope that a lot of my friends here get to hear it. The music is so wonderful. We're all looking forward to the performance.
If there's any of the WA family who haven't heard him play - I'd urge you to tune in. You might not realise we have a world class violinist amongst us!
