My son found this in the back yard and couldn't figure out how to get it "open" as he says.

Other than the framing I like this photo.

Great shot, well exposed, but I would crop this way tighter. The focal point obviously is the face of the boy and the turtle. Crop for just the boy's head down to the right arm elbow... My subjective opinion. You would also get rid of that annoying board on the left side of the image.

Great capture, though... in focus, SLIGHTLY underexposed, but not seriously... good job!

I think that is one of my hangups at this point. I have a relatively low MP count camera (canon xt) and I believe I am afraid of getting rid of something important and/or cropping heads, feet, arms, etc.

Whoops, I just realized that this particular shot was with an XSi. I have a Canon XT, and my mom has both an XTi and XSi. Must have been one of those times I "borrowed" it
