Is it ok to uninstall Lightroom 1 after installing LR2?

When I installed LR2, it left LR v1 intact as well as the LR v1 catalog. I'm not sure if it would mess up by overwriting components needed for LRv2. If you do, make sure you back up all your data first, just in case.

That makes sense. I'd still like to know if I can/should uninstall LR1 now that LR2 is installed.

I uninstalled lightroom 1 two weeks after I installed lightroom 2 with no issues.
