BenLee Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #1 · Lost PS data/presets... I have no idea what happened, but a few days ago I opened up photoshop (7) and immediately I could see that the screen did not look as it usually does. There were windows open (channel mixer and one or two others) that I usually don't have open (and definitely did not leave open last time) and my actions are gone also (the ones I created, not the others). My computer did not crash and was shut down the correct way. Any idea of what happened? Thanks. Aug 25, 2008 at 03:48 PM

pamorl Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #4 · Lost PS data/presets... It's good practice to have your actions, brushes, etc., outside of Photoshop. This way, if you need to trash the prefs, you won't lose everything. I keep mine in separate folders for actions, brushes, etc. Then, when want to load an action or brush, just navigate to the folder of choice. Aug 26, 2008 at 05:36 AM

BenLee Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #5 · Lost PS data/presets... I've only recorded about 5 actions of my own, but I don't know how to save that action into a folder. How would I do that? For the actions that I've downloaded in the past, I placed them in the PS actions folder, and they are still there, but for the ones that I created, they were never in the folder.
