Don't we all wish we had that job where all we had to do was take the pictures...no post processing...no selling. Here is a good story of working in the "big leagues".
Just keep in mind that he is a Canon Master of Light (I think it's called) so I'm betting he either gets great deals from Canon, or they give him the cameras.

Once again. NO! He does not get any gear for that. Money, endorsement dollars? Sure. But he DOES NOT GET FREE GEAR.

No loaners, no borrowing, no renting.
Get out your calculator and start figuring it out. It's impressive.
Go to his web site and take a look at his client list. That's even MORE impressive. I attended a Canon forum last year. He was the day's guest speaker. I got 6 hours of Vince Laforet. GREAT presenter. I learned a lot.

Actually, that's pretty much how it is for me when I shoot interiors for magazines. All they want is the RAW files. They do all of the processing. I edit my shoots down to the shots I like best, then just burn a DVD or two and hand the files over.
Sometimes I wish that weren't so. Not all of the pubs post-process to my liking, and I often know I could have done it better. I prefer, when possible, to have full control from shoot to finish. I'd rather hand over a processed TIF rather than the RAW. But contract-wise, that's often not the case.
90% of the time I'm happy with the way my shots look in print. Can't complain, really. One of my goals is to gain control over that 10% ....
