p.1 #1 · Sold: SOLD: Canon 28-80 2.8-4L, 17-40 L, Kenko 2x, 50mm 1.8

Hi All,

I am selling off a fair amount of equipment to finance some new toys. For the msot part everything is in extremely good condition, even the old 28-80 2.8-4L. Here is the break down (total price) of all each purchased through paypal and shipped:

Sold: Canon 28-80mm 2.8-4L - $535.00 (includes shipping, insurance and paypal)

This is possibly one of the best condition 28-80mm 2.8-4L you will find, if you can find them. Includes 1 Hoya UV Filter (always on), Canon Rear Cap, and Lens Shade
Glass - 9.5 (slight dust inside)
Body - 9.0 (normal wear and tear but amazing condition for it's age)
Mechanics - 9.5 (never had a problem and smooth zoom)

Sold: Canon 17-40mm 4L - $575.00 (includes shipping, insurance and paypal)

Includes everything in the original box (and box), front & rear lens covers, bag, instructions, warranty card and the lens shade.
I bought this from someone else on ebay a few months ago, but decided i liked the 17-55mm 2.8 EF-S a lot more. He bought it new and rarely used it, so it is basically new out of the box.
Glass - 10.0 (Basically new)
Body - 10.0 (Basically new)
Mechanics - 10.0 (Basically new)

Sold: Canon 50mm 1.8 - $80.00 (includes shipping, insurance and paypal)

Includes a Hoya UV Filter, Hoya Polarizing Filter, Front & Rear Lens Covers and Collaspable Lens Shade
Glass - 9.0 (Dust, but does not affect pictures)
Body - 9.5 (normalw ear and tear)
Mechanics - 9.5 (never had a problem and smooth zoom)

EBAY: Kenko 2x Teleconverter MC7 DG - $90.00 (includes shipping, insurance and paypal)

Includes both front and rear lens covers, bag, instructions and original box. I bought it from Calumet about 3 months ago but do not really use it. To much time to switch my 80-200 2.8L over to it.
Glass - 10.0 (Basically new)
Body - 10.0 (Basically new)
Mechanics - 10.0 (Basically new)

If everything is not sold by August 21, 2008, it will go on Ebay.

I will also have a 80-200mm 2.8L for sale in the coming weeks. It is currently being repaired for a broken internal slider and completely cleaned by a local camera repair shop.

If you have any questions please PM me.

Cheers,
Bill

Damn, I always do that. I have a bad habit of putting L at the end of these lenses. I guess I really hope it is, ha ha...

Thanks Guys,
Bill

Hi All,

I just dropped the price on most everything. I am looking to sell everything fairly quickly, as I have no need for the lenses now.

If you have any questions please ask.

The 28-80 f2.8-4 L is one of my favorite lenses. As the first USM lens, it was one of Canon's best - the mini-magic-drainpipe. I still have my original copy and I find myself going back to it time and time again because of the amazing IQ. The colors, contrast, and resolution are just fantastic. While my other lenses have gone back to Canon for repairs, recalibrations, etc. the MMD has continued to click on without missing a beat. Good luck selling it.

I will completely agree with you, I purchased this lens from the original owner and it has been nothing but stunning. The best part of the lens is the contrast, it takes incredible images but the reason I am selling it is because it does not fit the range I need for indoor car photography where the 17-55mm 2.8 fits rather well. If anyone would like me to take some pictures with this lens of anything in particular do let me know. I would like to see this quality lens go to a good home.

Cheers,
Bill
