This probably belongs in the landscape section but seeing as its a cell phone picture that I was just experimenting with, i thought I drop here for input.... There is an old house not too far from where I live that I shoot all the time for "practice"... I have shot it in the rain, snow, summer, fall, dawn and dusk..... but today while driving past it I decided to try something for FUN which my D2x is not set up for (IR).... I took out my cell phone (Nokia N95) and set it to B&W / Landscape... I then placed an IR filter over the lens and bumped up the ISO to 500 with a 1/30sec shutter at f/2.8.... When I got home I simply put it into Capture NX and tried to remove some of the hot spots plus added a bit more grain in PS2 to make it oldish.....

For me it is just a bit too far in processing so that its hard to tell if there is a house in the picture. Framing is good.
Yeah... I was originally trying to go FAR but I think your right... I went way too far!! I have played with it some more and here is a little more toned down version...
I liked the first one.... but then looking at the 2nd one, I can say that is cool. I only wish I had a cell phone that could take photos that I could do that with.

If you cell phone takes pictures, you could be in luck... to test your cell phone to see if the IR cut filter is active or not, just turn your cell phone camera on and point it toward the front of a remote control (while pressing buttons on the remote).... If you see the light flashing on the front of the remote your phone will do fine!... now just go buy the cheapest IR filter you can find (I use a hoya whic was like 10 bucks) and start taking pictures. It helps if your phone has a B&W setting but if not, no biggie. its just fun, I find myself keeping my IR filter with me most all the time now. I just wish I could get my DSLR converted, it would be so much better that way!!
.... here is another one I did yesterday while in uptown Charlotte.
