I live in the UK and am looking to buy a Markins Q3 head.
Where have other people in the UK bought from, did you buy direct from the US or from the Euro site. The prices appear cheaper from the US but then I guess I have to add import duty and vat?
Advice appreciated
Besides buying from Markins directly, you can buy from photoproshop.com. They have a US and Europe site. My most recent purchase of a Markins M10 was from them. At least for the US site, I would highly recommend them and their customer service. Top rate.
I bought a Q3 from Steve Yoon at MarkinsAmerica.com. I would also highly recommend Steve and his site. Excellent customer service.
I don't have experience with the Europe sites. But if they mimic the US sites, I would have no hesitations.

Chris, when i ordered my Q3 last year. I looked both at Photoproshop in Europe and direct from Markins North America. Even when I had to pay VAT & Custom Duty is was a lower price to order it direct from Markins. They also has excellent service.
Photoproshop has a higher price in Euro than Markins has in US dollars
Lars is right, the PPS is the 'retail' arm of Nikonians. My issue w/ PPS, at least in the US as related to Markins, is that the often do not have product, have absolutely no idea when they may get product and are low 'value add'.
Last year, I wanted a basic M10, PPS couldn't even tell me when they *might* have more aafter waiting 3 weeks. it was in-stock at markinsamerica and in my hands in 3 days.
