J4644 Offline Image Upload: Off Sold: SOLD Hi Dan, I may be interested in the 300 f4L IS. It looks like the date code is UR, is that 2003? I am also looking at the 300 2.8 for the speed, but really do not want to spend 3x - 4x more. So, what are your thoughts with using this lens for outdoor sports such as baseball, football or soccer in overcast situations. I am in Rochester, N.Y. and not sunny L.A. I put a 4th gen replacement foot, lenscoat and lenscoat hoodie on it. Took about 10-15 pics with it and then my daughter (3 yrs old) woke up from her nap.
