It's amazing how photographers come up with the "diabolically genius" notion that they can put their studio strobes on light slave mode and ruin the exposures of the P&S crowd.

You do know that P&S cameras use pre-flashes? So, how many of your exposures came out dark?

None of my shots are ever dark. Dynalite packs recycle in about .3 seconds at lower power

I can ruin everyone's pictures!

Kesava, I don't get the Dr. Jones reference. ?? I'm curious about your preflash. Does it function with the ttl preflash of all cameras present? Does it sync with the exposure of P&S cameras and other shooters? If so, does it enhance their images or ruin the exposures? If they shoot just before you, does it mess up your exposure?

Jonathan, .3 seconds is definitely fast. Have you checked to be sure that it ruins everyone else's shots? The time from preflash to exposure may be faster. Either way, it's nice if they aren't ruining your shots.

That one and I've heard quite a few photographers talk about it over the last few years. I remember one said he points one strobe directly back at the other shooters just for that purpose while the ones he's using are on PW's.

Mike, Yeah that thread definitely wandered into different areas. That's part of why I posted this separately. Also, because a lot of photographers seem to buy into the idea that it would work that way.

It was an indiana jones reference. My off camera strobe has a mode to slave off the second or third flash or not at all.

kesava, Have you checked to see if it interferes with or improves other photographers' exposures, or maybe doesn't affect them at all?
