Decided to bump my prices by $400 for each package. Would appreciate any feedback on my website and pricing structure to make sure this is as effective as can be.
I will be updating my wedding portfolio over the next couple days to reflect more recent weddings with stronger work. My home page has been updated.
I think you are much closer to the price range you need to be. I really think you can do this. Your work is strong. Keep your head up, work on the way you advertise, and get your name out. Best of luck to you...we know you can do it!
There's nothing wrong with the website...it looks great. Its clean, has good text that isn't overly wordy, and consistent text styles, colors, and logos for branding. Great job!

Thanks Cathy. I hope my price increase is going to work in my favor and not go against me. There is so much competition here in the Seattle area so it is very easy to be lost in a sea of wedding photographers. And there are a lot who are doing it for much less than me. Obviously there is a whole gamut of quality, but I have lost 1 person this year who went for a photog who could do it cheaper and he thought his work was as good as mine. I saw it and disagreed
Just remember the phrase that a photo business is 10% photography and 90% business (which includes marketing). I encourage you to look into the sites I sent you and learn as much as you can about marketing. Brand yourself as different than the others and advertise about the things that make your business different. Be infectious within the community and meet people. Network with other wedding vendors. You have what it takes to do it, but you need to find out how to get your name out.
It is very nice and clean. However, when I click on 'portfolio', many categories only have one set of photos. From the client's perspective, they might think that you haven't done a lot of weddings. I would just show your best photos for each category like your opening page.

It is a good point and something I have thought about. Maybe also I could just name them "wedding 1" "wedding 2" and "wedding 3", rather than the couple's names and wedding date?
I just have one ? that came to me as soon as I looked at your packages. What is the difference between "extensice photo processing" and "professional photo processing"? Unless there is a difference I would pick one and have it be the same in both packages.
Keep the clients names on their photos......DON'T use wedding 1 , wedding 2..NO NO NO......that is way too cheesy....names personalize it........keeping it REAL.
If you have more weddings under your belt, post the best images from them....don't scrimp.
You can also have generic wedding portfolios in addition to client specific ones. Ones with your "best hits" images.

Huh, when did you see it say wedding 1, wedding 2 etc? I did consider that but never thought I actually changed it. Anyway it has the names.
Maybe I can have one slideshow called "favorite moments" and then have 4 or 5 specific weddings.
Really nice pictures, as a matter of curiosity why do you not mention book production, or mural (canvas) prints, as options or with a basic product included in the package (for which you could then suggest upgraded and more expensive alternatives)? I feel you quality of work is not conveyed strongly with just an online slideshow and images on a disk. My guess is you may be leaving money on the table, but this could be due to established practices in your region.
Regarding your price bump, I would suggest that the price difference of $400 for an additional 3 hours of shooting is rather low, considering that you will have 500 more pictures (or 1,500?) to deal with as well as dealing with a longer evening, etc.
Nice idea to include the couples picture shoot.
Good luck!
