On the bright side they seem to be dropping in price again, Like the 200 1.8, Nikon 28 1.4 , Nikon 58 F1.2 it seems everyone wants one then prices skyrocket, then they start to edge down again. I notice that the Canon FD 24, 50 and 85L have increased in price at the used dealers. The 24L I have seen some priced at $1400, the 85L over $900. A year ago they could be had for $800 and $600 respectively. Between those that modify the mounts for EOS use and the G1 users the prices of these are starting to inflate astronomically high.
When the big IF happens I would say get ...... a lens that makes you happy.
