Hi Peter,

Is your Summilux-R the E60 version? great apparent sharpness! I'm thinking of getting this lens (along with the 180/2.8 APO) to complete transition of my entire kit to native Leica-R in anticipation of a fantastic Leica R10 otherwise they'll do fine on my 5DmII.

Andre, i will check this with the non modded camera.

wiregen - how do you find your fdn 50 1.2L - i love mine in most shooting conditions, execept when there are the spotlights from behind when the "onion" like pattern comes up (aspherical glass)
concerning sigma convertion - i have found the way how to convert it without the mirror box dissasembly.

I do rarely see that spotlight pattern under certain conditions.

Regarding the SD14 Wow, if you ever decide to do the conversions put me on the list

Yes, it is the E60 version. Works without modification on the 5DM2. It's not quite APO, but pretty close. It's also quite sharp. The 100% crops without sharpening.

The double nature: Nikkor 50/1.2. At f/1.2, bokeh is very harsh, distracting and chaotic, but at f/2 it is nice and quite smooth at medium short distances. "Artistic" perhaps, as it changes character very much with distance.
Sharpness is the best I've seen from any lens at f/2. Better than the Sigma, and that says alot!

@ f/2 on FF:

The second is slightly misfocused, so none of the flowers are really sharp. But the branches are.

Edit: Oh, and f/1.2 at larger distance. Kind of.... different.
