Here's a couple that were taken a while back. I am not trying to be humorous, nor was i trying to turn this into a "guess the lens" game, it was being tired after a long day of work and forgeting to mention what lenses i used. Anyway, the first 2 pictures were taken with the 30D and 80-200 2.8L looking through the front of the 400 5.6L. The third was taken with the 400 5.6L.

Paul Yi and David Churn,

It's a humorous and nice touch trying to turn this into some sort Guess the lens -play. But but but ... it's not what we are looking for. Please edit your posts and tell us what lens(es) you used.

EDIT; Thank you David for updating your post. It wasn't my intention to make you feel offended - but it was a bit too much with two posts (your and Paul's) in a row there with anonymous lenses.

regards, /Jonas

Here are a few more florals, this time shot with the Rokkor 58mm f/1.2. I added 15mm of extension to get in a little closer than the lens would allow on its own. All shots are wide open. Second shot has some of the ghosting that some like and others do not...to each his/her own.

Sigma 50/1.4 @ f/2 on Nikon D700. I've never seen any other 50:ish lens draw like this.

Actually, almost any fast lens will give a "nice blur" when shooting closeups. Try something like 2-3 meters distance, and the same lens could produce the most horrible bokeh.

Somewhat true I guess, but I did an extensive test on 35mm lenses some time ago and found there to be differences in harshness and rendering styles, even very close, some to my liking, others not.

Sorry about not telling what lens being used...
It wasn't intentional...
They were all done with Rokkor 58/1.2, and all wide open...

Unintentional mistakes are OK...
I suspected it was the 58/1.2 but couldn't really swear by it. I'll update the index.

Thank you, /Jonas

Thanks, Andre. I love these sorts of floral abstracts. Here is a similar spin from the Canon 200L.

How did you adapt that AR to EF-mount? Do you have infinity or anything close?

Dim.ka, quite a rare piece of glass! how on earth did you fit those two together!? If I remember correctly, the Konica mount has a register distance of just 40.5mm(!).

What is the furthest you can focus?

Some of those old Konica lenses were nice, REALLY nice, like the AR 40/1.8, AR 50/1.7 (one of the sharpest 50s ever, Period.), and the AR 28/1.8. If any of those were adaptable... well, you get the picture

EDIT: you beat me to it TWoK.

Dim.ka, any chance of a full size sample?

Nice shots of the black lab puppy but this an alt forum so you need to try taking these with a nice alt lens like a Rokkor 58 1.2.
It's too easy with AF, much more of a challenge at f1.2 with MF.
