We have a few images taken with unknown lenses. What good does that do? They are at the top of the index. PM me if you have any information on the lenses.

We have some images not longer showing. So be it, or you do something about. If you need a host for your images I may be able to help. Send a PM.

I'm happy to see the new images taken with the "exotic" Russian lenses here since the last index update. More variations are welcome. Thinking about it, more of everything is welcome: Anyone interested in buying a lens will probably want to see a lot of samples.

I think 40-2 is Second version of Helios 40 lens, commonly known as "Helios 40-2 85mm f1.5". This is black version. Mine is silver version.

oly 55 1.2. awful bokeh by most people's standards. I wanted a special purpose Noctiluxoid lens to give me wildly abstract and distracting backgrounds.

nice tonal range in B&W. needs a fair amount of black clipping in color.

No problems imo... If we are looking for subjectively admirable blur there is no reason to exclude products from the two biggest companies. Well, we can exclude a lot of their lenses but there are some nice ones as well.

I would like to see more samples from the Nikkor DC lenses for example. The EF85/1.2L is always interesting. The 50L is not represented here, in spite of having good bokeh (if you can focus it... Lol). I'm sure there are other ones as well.

Not much blur, but still....

Vivitar 200mm f3.5 ((M42 mount, most underrated) captured JPEG, direct from camera... one of my initial days of SLR)
(may be @f4.5 or wide open)

Same shot with several lens at 100mm or 105mm, wide open, at ISO 200 all mounted on Canon 5D (Nikon lenses used Cameraquest adapter). Zooms were set as close as possible to 100mm. Shot on tripod from the same position.
