p.1 #1 · Ducks in the Back Yard

Hi

I am new to Wildlife shooting and not very good at it, however I thought maybe I could get some tips.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

John,

My overall impression is that you need to work on simplifying your shots and waiting for the right pose. This first shot appears sharp and has good color, but there's a lot going. Even more so in the second photo (try cropping in just on the bird that's in focus and adj. in the contrast a bit). The third photo lacks the business of the other two (a good thing) but its a bit tight in the upper right; i.e. I'd like to see the space that's behind the duck in front of the duck.

All in all, some very nice shots for someone new to wildlife!

Cheers,
Jeremy
